Blind Shooting

Firearms Training for the Blind and Visually Impaired

Blind Shooting was created to demonstrate that blindness does not necessarily prevent someone from learning about the safe handling and recreational use of firearms.

Blind Shooting is no longer operating as a regularly scheduled training business and does not currently offer ongoing classes or maintain a public training location.

Training by Arrangement

Although Blind Shooting no longer conducts regularly scheduled classes, Robert Dittman or another qualified instructor may be available to provide training by special arrangement.

Individuals, organizations, shooting clubs, disability organizations, and others interested in arranging a training session are welcome to contact us.

For training requiring travel outside the instructor's local area, the requesting individual or organization must cover reasonable travel and related expenses.

Availability is determined on a case-by-case basis.

About Blind Shooting

Blind Shooting was founded by Robert Dittman to provide firearms education and training opportunities for people who are blind or visually impaired.

Robert is completely blind and has extensive experience with firearms. His goal has been to demonstrate what can be accomplished through appropriate instruction, careful safety practices, and training adapted to the individual.

Videos & Resources

Videos and other materials from Blind Shooting's past training activities remain available as educational resources and as a record of the program's work.
